Capricorn Mutual and the discretionary protections it offers have been designed to meet the specific needs of its members and to promote their interests.

Members of Capricorn Mutual pay an annual contribution for the discretionary protections that they select to meet their needs.

Members have the right to apply only for the protections that they need and are not required to take protections that are not relevant to their requirements (subject to underwriting considerations).

Members have the right to apply to the Board to request assistance for loss, damage or liability that falls within one of the protections that they have selected and been granted.

Members own Capricorn Mutual and the elected representatives of the members sit on the Board.

Capricorn Mutual is not-for-profit in the sense that contributions are not calculated to return profits to members, but are designed to maintain a commercially viable company at a low cost to members.

Only members of Capricorn Society can apply for membership of Capricorn Mutual.
